What if you treated yourself like someone important?
Because you are!

We are brilliant at putting everyone else in the diary first.

Work, kids, parents, school runs, appointments, shopping. The million things that somehow need doing.

And then we look at what’s left and think, “I’ll squeeze myself in somewhere”.

Except … there is often nowhere left!

🤔 So here’s your little challenge for this week:

Put YOURSELF on the calendar. Open your diary and actually book the things that help you feel better.

✔️ Your Pilates class
✔️ Your workout
✔️ Your walk
✔️ Time to prepare some decent food
✔️ Your food shopping
✔️ Your bedtime routine
✔️ Even 10 minutes of quiet time if that’s what you need

And if you’re thinking … “but Sandra, WHERE am I supposed to find the time?”

.. Let’s look for it

5 WAYS TO FIND A LITTLE MORE TIME FOR YOU:

1️⃣ Reduce the social media scroll. Be honest how often do you pick up your phone for just two minutes and emerge 35 mins later not having done what you meant to and realise you’ve just ‘doom scrolled’ for the whole time.

2️⃣ Cut down the TV time. You don’t have to give up Netflix, just be more tactical about it otherwise one episode becomes three!

3️⃣ Stop waiting for a big chunk of free time – you don’t need two spare hours, 10-20 mins counts. A movement snack, a walk, some stretching or simply sitting quietly can make a difference.

4️⃣ Combine things when you can. Walk while chatting to a friend. Listen to a podcast while walking. Do a few mobility exercises or heel raises while the kettle boils. Not everything needs its own dedicated hour.

5️⃣ Put yourself in the diary FIRST. Don’t wait until everyone else has been organised. Choose your fitness class, your walk, or your quiet time and book it before the week fills up.

And then treat that appointment like you would a meeting with someone important.

Because you wouldn’t casually cancel an important meeting every time someone else needed something.

Why should your time automatically be the first thing to disappear.

This week as yourself:

“What if I believed my needs mattered too?”

Then finish this sentence:
The one thing I am putting on my calendar first this week is ______________

Your challenge isn’t necessarily to find more time.

It’s to stop automatically giving all of your time away.

The family matters.

Work matters.

Your responsibility matters.

And you matter too.

Looking after yourself isn’t selfish. It’s how you keep showing up for the people and things you care about.

So go on …
Open that calendar

Put yourself in it!

…. So take this as a sign to get this weeks’ classes booked 😉
